terms of service

these terms ("terms") govern your use of the ToDo Alarm iOS app and related website (collectively, the "service"), provided by ToDo Alarm ("we", "us", "our"). by installing or using the service you agree to these terms.

the service

ToDo Alarm lets you schedule, snooze, reschedule, and complete tasks using iOS AlarmKit alarms. it relies on Apple AlarmKit, the iOS notification system, and — if you opt in — iCloud for sync.

your data

ToDo Alarm does not require an account. your tasks live on your device, and only sync to iCloud if you explicitly enable it. you are responsible for keeping your iPhone and iCloud account secure, and for any device that has access to your task list.

acceptable use

you agree not to:

• reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service;
• circumvent rate limits or attempt to access another user's data;
• use the service to violate any law or another person's rights;
• build a competing product on top of the service.

alarms are not life-safety

ToDo Alarm is a consumer productivity and alarm clock app. while it uses Apple AlarmKit and is designed to ring through silent and Focus modes, you should not rely on it for medical, life-safety, or mission-critical wake-ups. we do not guarantee that any individual alarm will fire — system updates, low battery, hardware faults, revoked permissions, or platform changes can prevent delivery.

third parties

the service is delivered through and depends on Apple's App Store, AlarmKit, iOS notifications, and (optionally) iCloud, and on Cloudflare's hosting platform. your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms.

changes & availability

we may add, modify, or remove features at any time. we may suspend or terminate the service or your access to it if we reasonably believe you've violated these terms or are causing harm to other users or the platform.

fees

ToDo Alarm is currently free to use. some features may be offered as paid upgrades or subscriptions in the future; if so, we'll be clear about what they cost before you opt in.

disclaimers

the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alarms will always ring.

limitation of liability

to the fullest extent permitted by law, ToDo Alarm and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or sleep, arising out of or related to your use of the service. our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

termination

you can stop using the service at any time by deleting your data in-app or uninstalling. we may terminate or suspend your access to the service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that breaches these terms or is otherwise harmful to the service.

governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California for any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the service.

changes to these terms

we may update these terms as the product evolves. material changes will be signaled by updating the effective date above. continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
