privacy policy
Effective May 4, 2026
this policy describes how ToDo Alarm ("the app",
"we", "us") collects and uses information when you use the iOS app
and the website at todo-alarm.com. ToDo Alarm is a
privacy-respecting productivity app that turns your to-do list into
persistent, AlarmKit-powered wake-up calls.
what we collect
tasks & alarms
your tasks — the title, time, recurrence, snooze history, and completion state — are stored on your device. ToDo Alarm does not require an account to use, and your task list does not leave your iPhone unless you explicitly opt into iCloud sync.
iCloud sync (optional)
if you turn on iCloud sync, your tasks and alarm settings are synchronized across your devices using your private CloudKit container. only you can read this data; we do not have access to it.
notifications
alarms are scheduled locally through Apple AlarmKit and the iOS notification system. we do not maintain a server-side push token or send remote notifications.
diagnostics
if you opt in, anonymous crash reports and usage analytics may be collected to help us fix bugs and improve the app. these reports contain no personal information and no task content. you can turn diagnostics off at any time in iOS Settings or in the app's settings screen.
what we do not collect
- your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- your microphone input, camera, or location.
- the text of your tasks (we never see them).
- any data used to train AI models or build advertising profiles.
how we use your data
- to schedule, ring, snooze, and complete your task alarms.
- to keep your task list in sync across your devices when you opt into iCloud.
- to diagnose crashes and fix bugs (only if you opt in).
we do not sell your data. we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
third-party services
- Apple AlarmKit / iOS — required to ring alarms through silent and Focus modes and to display lock-screen actions.
- iCloud / CloudKit — used only if you enable sync. data is stored in your private container, not ours.
- Cloudflare — hosts this static marketing site. cloudflare may process request metadata as part of operating the platform.
your choices
- delete your data. open the app, go to Settings, and choose "delete all tasks & alarms". this removes everything from this device. if you use iCloud sync, deletion propagates to your other devices.
- turn off notifications. turn off notifications for ToDo Alarm in iOS Settings; the app continues to work but alarms will not ring.
- turn off iCloud sync. turn off iCloud for todo alarm in iOS Settings to keep your tasks on a single device.
- uninstall the app. uninstalling removes all local data. iCloud-synced data can be removed from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
data retention
task data is kept for as long as you keep the app installed. anonymized diagnostic logs, where present, are retained for up to 30 days.
children
ToDo Alarm is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
changes
we may update this policy as the product evolves. material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, surfacing an in-app notice on next launch.
